Supplemental
Lines of Descent

Once you've proven your lineal descent from one Mayflower passenger, you may discover you can trace your line back to others as well. Documenting descent from an additional passenger is called a Supplemental Application. The process closely mirrors an original application, though depending on your relationship to the new ancestor, you may need less research and fewer documents.

For example, if your original application proved descent from John Alden, you're already eligible to submit a Supplemental Application for his wife, Priscilla Mullins, and her father, William Mullins — congratulations!

You may also descend from the same passenger through more than one line. Since the Mayflower Society is a lineage society, you're welcome to submit a separate Supplemental Application for each distinct line of descent you can document.

Members in good standing can apply for a supplemental line of descent by requesting a Supplemental Application from the Co-Historian and returning it along with a $170 Supplemental Lineage Assessment. This fee is non-refundable.
